Coming out of Utica and working the word “winners” in wherever he can, MC Trizzy rocketed to fame in 2014. Born Travon Howard, the MC began posting and uploading his hooky, Eastern-influenced brand of hip-hop in 2013. He hit late that year with the track “My Own Style,” and then in early 2014 he dropped the Success vs Fame mixtape. In 2015, Trizz started his own label, Ruby Recordings, releasing no less than three mixtapes, including a pair of compilations highlighting Ruby artists. That summer, he signed a deal with Diamond District Records and released a single with labelmate Qua Uno, “Ride.”
